Dan Schlossberg received four prizes at the annual awards dinner of the Garden State Journalists Association (formerly the Working Press Association of New Jersey) on May 21, 2008:
 

● First place, Radio Feature, 'Travel With Kal' segment, WLIS/WMRD (Connecticut)
● First place, Sports Feature, "Joy in Bushville," 2007 MLB World Series Program
● Second place, Non-fiction Book, Baseball Gold: Mining Nuggets from Our National Pastime (Triumph)  
● Honorable Mention, Personality Profile, "Jackie Robinson: Profile in Courage," Legends Sports Magazine
