The 300 Club:
Have We Seen the Last of Baseball's 300-Game
Winners?
Dan Schlossberg, Foreword by Wayne Hagin.
Since the beginning of Major League
Baseball in 1876, only two dozen pitchers have won 300 games.
Beginning with Cy Young and Walter Johnson, the only two players to win more
than 400 games, this book reviews the careers of all 24 pitchers in the
club. Exclusive interviews with 10 living 300-game winners, including
Randy Johnson, Roger Clemens, and
Greg Maddux, form the heart of the book. Johnson was the last
pitcher to join the club, winning his 300th during the 2009 baseball season.
The 300 Club is about “the last of a breed,” but
the book is the first of its kind – a fast-paced and thorough exploration of
the best pitchers the game has ever seen.

Making
Airwaves: 60 Years at Milo's Microphone
Milo Hamilton and Dan Schlossberg with Bob
Ibach
Foreword by Nolan Ryan
Milo Hamilton has called 11 no-hitters and a
World Series, often in tandem with such broadcast legends as Jack Buck, Jack
Brickhouse, Bob Elson, and Harry Caray. His work was so well-received
that he was enshrined into the broadcasters' wing of the Baseball Hall of
Fame in 1992. He received an even more unexpected honor eight years
later - election to the exclusive Radio Hall of Fame, home of just seven
other baseball broadcasters. He has truly managed to work his
way up from humble origins. The story he tells in Making Airwaves:
60 years at Milo's Microphone is a profile in courage, a tale of talent
and determination, and a behind-the-scenes look at seven decades of baseball
history. |

Designated Hebrew:
The Ron Blomberg Story
Ron Blomberg as told to Dan Schlossberg, Foreword by Marty
Appel
Ron Blomberg was the first overall pick of
the 1967 amateur draft by the New York Yankees and went on to play for the
Yankees and the Chicago White Sox during his eight seasons of active duty in
the major leagues. While his career was an injury-riddled one that failed to
meet high expectations, Blomberg's place in baseball history was assured
when he became the game's first designated hitter. On April 6, 1973, at
Fenway Park in Boston, he earned that distinction after being walked by Red
Sox pitcher Luis Tiant in his first plate appearance of the season.

Miracle Over Miami:
How the 2003 Marlins Shocked the World
Dan Schlossberg with Kevin Baxter
Special commentary by "Mr. Marlin" Jeff Conine
Miracle Over Miami: How the 2003 Marlins
Shocked the World is the story of the most unlikely world championship
in recent memory, a lesson in how to build a winning team with limited
resources, how to plug holes with rookies and acquisitions, and how to win
by having fun. Jeff Conine is the only man to play for both Florida world
championship teams. In a rare inside-the-clubhouse look he shares his
thoughts on his teammates, compares the 1997 and 2003 teams, and describes
what it was like to be a member of a miraculous team. Fans are invited
to once again come to the land of black-and-teal in Miracle Over Miami,
where nothing is impossible and the Marlins rule the planet.
